**About the Role**

An opportunity exists to join Corporate Asset Management as a Commercial Assistant in Facilities (Hard), to assist in the provision of a uniform and equipment and a design and print service delivery to the force. You will be part of a professional, dedicated, team and will need to be flexible in your approach to the provision of a uniform and equipment and a design and print service delivery to the force.

The post holder will be based at our premises in Perry Barr, and the core hours are Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1600, with a flexi-time system in place.

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
To deliver an efficient and effective demand and supply function for the Facilities Hard Department.
To deliver an efficient and effective function to agreed standards in line with legal, statutory and other regulations, guidelines and best practise.
To support the provision of comprehensive, innovative and value driven Commercial Services products
Assist the Commercial Services team support the Force in its mission to serve and protect the people of the West Midlands.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties will be;
- To assist in the provision of an efficient Facilities Commercial Services delivering business support for:
1) Uniform and Equipment

2) Design and Print
- To maintain financial administrative systems, files and procedures to ensure effective monitoring of expenditures against budgets.
- To update all inventory issues and receipts on the relevant inventory management system.
- To assist with forecasting stock requirements.
- To process purchase orders using the Oracle i-procurement system
- To assist with the procedure to check, approve and process requisitions, resolving queries as necessary.
- To liaise with suppliers and progress chase outstanding deliveries to ensure stock availability.
- To prepare stock taking schedules, summaries and reports.
- To ensure compliance of Statutory Obligations relating to Health and Safety, Financial Regulations, Force Policy and Procedure and Standing Orders.
- To process income generated via the production of bespoke printed material.
- Take appropriate action to ensure productivity, efficiency and performance targets linked with service level agreements are met.
- To support the continuous improvement of the Commercial Services function against agreed service levels using relevant systems.
- To support the overall Department on projects and Policy & Procedure updates, undertaking research activities as required.

- Proven ability and knowledge in computerised inventory management systems.

**Desirable Requirements (used for short-listing):

- Previous employment experience in a commercial services environment.

**Vetting**: Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.

**Location**: The post holder will be based at the force Logistic Centre in Perry Barr.

**Hours**: The role is 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1600.
