Are you a highly motivated person who would like to join the Team at the Special Care Baby Unit at QEQM Hospital in Margate. Is cleaning, cleanliness and tidying a passion that you could utilize in assisting us, to maintain a clean and tidy working environment and ensure that the nurseries are kept fully stocked to enable the smooth provision of nursing/medical care.

The Special Care Baby Unit has 12 cots, 2 High Dependency and 10 Special Care cots. We pride ourselves on our team working and our family centred care as these two examples taken from our Neonatal Survey results show (Picker Institute, 2014) “All staff that cared for my baby were A* people.” “We were very fortunate to receive such excellent care from the unit” and “Excellent care for both my baby and I my husband was also cared for which was fantastic would definitely recommend”

All this in the beautiful Garden of England close to the historic city of Canterbury and also to the Coast.

As a member of the Neonatal Housekeeping Team you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and well presented environment for all families and visitors that pass through our unit. As well as ensuring that all areas are kept fully stocked enabling our Nursing and Medical Teams to work seamlessly, you will be responsible for cleaning life saving pieces of equipment, ordering stock, completing Audits and helping to maintain the smooth running of our busy Unit.
