**About our client**
We are working with a leading European Mid Market fund who are looking to hire an Associate into the opportunistic credit team. Our client is an established player in the market, with a generalist sector focus investing across Western Europe.
**What the job involves**
You will be a critical member of the deal team, with full exposure to every part of the deal cycle. Typical responsibilities include:

- Being involved and contributing to idea generation, sourcing and due diligence
- Initial screening of new fund investment opportunities
- Performing due diligence and producing financial models to analyse new investment opportunities
- Execution of investments
- Assisting in the production of investment memos for presentation to the IC
- Working closely with third party service providers and internal teams throughout the investment cycle to execute.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Experince in Investment Banking (Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, M&A)
- Experince in Credit Investing, Special Situations or Private Equity
- Strong technical skills in the following: valuations, financial modelling, analysis, accounting and commercial due diligence.
- Strong verbal and written communication with acute attention to detail.
