Driver/carer

We are looking for a carer/van driver who is a confident driver, happy to collect and drop off dogs in our doggy van, as well as spending time in the fields with the dogs.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supervising and providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs
- Monitoring dog behaviour, disengaging unwanted behaviour as well as notifying team and manager
- Following the weekly enrichment plan to help dogs make the most of their time at The Happy Acres
- Bathing, washing and towelling dogs prior to pick up
- Keeping the fields clean of any dog faeces
- Maintaining high levels of husbandry and hygiene in all areas
- Taking out rubbish
- Safely picking up and dropping off dogs in The Happy Acres van
- Maintaining a safe & clean doggy van
- Washing off dogs before loading them into the van for drop off
- Providing excellent customer service, talking to customers at pick up/drop off about their dogs day
- Following owner instructions e.g. lunches, accessing the property if owners are not home
- Identifying which dogs can share crates in the van and which cannot, feeding any concerns back to management

**What we are looking for**:

- Someone passionate about dogs
- A confident driver with at least 5 years driving experience
- Experience of working with dogs preferred but not essential
- A clean driving license - essential
- Someone who doesn’t mind being outside in all weathers
- Subject to a DBS check

**Salary**: £23,000.00 per year
