About the role
We are seeking a passionate Product Designer to join our Customer Journey & UX Chapter. At Tesco Mobile, being people-focused means understanding the needs, emotions, and aspirations of our customers. The Product Designer will collaborate within cross-functional squads, working with empathy and insight to build meaningful and intuitive digital experiences.

You will be responsible for
- Empathetic Design: Approach Product design with empathy, understanding the emotions and behaviours of our users. Build designs that resonate with our customers, addressing their problems and improving their digital interactions
- Squad Collaboration: Work collaboratively within cross-functional squads, encouraging a culture of willingness and inclusivity. Embrace diverse perspectives and collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals
- Design Systems Management: Expertly manage and evolve our Design System, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness across our digital platforms. Uphold our people-focused approach by delivering flawless and user-friendly interfaces
- User-Centred Research: Conduct in-depth user research to gain insights into customer needs and preferences. Use qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform design decisions and advocate for user-centric solutions
- Inclusive Design: Champion inclusive design practices, ensuring that our digital products are accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. Foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and data analysis. Strive for excellence by refining designs and incorporating valuable insights to enhance user satisfaction
- Collaborative Innovation: Actively contribute to a culture of innovation within the Chapter and across the organisation. Collaborate with colleagues to explore innovative design solutions and push the boundaries of product experience

You will need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX design, Product Design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
- Proven experience as a UX Designer or Product Designer, with a strong focus on empathy-driven design and user-centred methodologies
- Expertise in managing and evolving Design Systems for consistent and intuitive user interfaces
- Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive team environment
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, or similar
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, promoting digital inclusivity for all users
- Experience in agile development and cross-functional collaboration is highly desirable
