Core Competency Requirements
- Recognised Qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH, NCRQ, or other recognised equivalent).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- High standard of written English.
- Full valid driver’s licence.

Day to Day Duties
- Advising on health & safety, compliance matters.
- Building up a good rapport with the client, and workforce based on trust and co-operation.
- Ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety Legislation/clients requirements.
- Driving best practice principles in all areas.
- Auditing and coordinating the completion of safety paperwork (briefings/inspections).
- Carrying out daily and weekly site inspections.
- Delivering toolbox talks on health, safety and wellbeing themes.
- Attending safety meetings.
- Health and wellbeing promotion.
- Making a positive contribution to improving health and safety standards.
- Working closely with the client, and project team to deliver the project safely.
- Regular reporting of performance to the client and Company Health & Safety Manager.
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned.
- Reviewing health & safety documentation (method statements etc).
- Manging the company’s ISO45001 Safety Management System.
- Leadership and Commitment

- Lead, support and advise on Health & Safety Compliance at a site level.

Desirable but not essential
- Experience in carrying out Drug & Alcohol Testing
- Experience in carrying out Face Fit Testing.
- Experience of Behavioural Safety Programmes.
- IOSH Membership.
- Your CV will list other training qualifications you have accumulated over time.
- Experience of working within an OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 Safety Management System.
- Experience of working on roads and infrastructure projects (Civils contracts).
- Experience of delivering inhouse training and speaking to an audience.
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Vocational Qualification in a relevant field.
