**The Role**

As Deputy Head, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school and ensuring that every child receives a high-quality education that prepares them for success in an ever-changing world. You'll work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to drive forward our vision, values, and strategic priorities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Inspire and motivate staff to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a relentless commitment to raising standards and achieving excellence.
- Champion innovation and creativity, continually seeking new ways to enhance the learning experience for our students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture where every child feels valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external partners to create a strong sense of community and promote parental engagement in their child's education.
- A proven track record of successful Senior Leadership and Management within a primary school setting (Deputy Headship experience essential).
- Passionate about education and dedicated to providing the highest quality learning experiences for all students.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong strategic vision and the ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
- Advocate for the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices in promoting overall wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications and experience.

Dulwich Wood is located in Dulwich, London. It consists of a primary school (Dulwich Wood Primary), a nursery school (Dulwich Wood Nursery) and the Camberwell and Dulwich Children and Family Centres serving all of Camberwell and Dulwich.

The Nursey takes around 100 two to four year olds and boasts amazing outdoor facitites and spaces. The Primary is a two form entry school, serving a diverse population. Following significant investment, the EYFS Department at the primary is one of the newest in London and serves as a centre of excellence for Southwark.
