**The role**

We are currently recruiting for a full-time 40 hr Warehouse Operative to expand our busy depot in York.

The shift pattern is 9 hours with 1 hours for lunch, The current shift times are 8am-5pm, but this may change slightly to meet operation needs, and may have earlier start times

**Day to day**

Picking customer orders via our digital HHT WMS system

Support van loading of our inhouse fleet of vans, checking stock and orders are correct to reduced pick errors.

Although this will be a position of a warehouse operative the majority of the time there will be need for Driving experience with long wheelbase vans, this is to cover adhoc driving responsibilities is Holidays or sickness.

Assertive to follow Health and safety guidelines and protect yourself and others from risks.

Forklift usage to Sort and place goods-In materials and items into racking, and shelves using pallet trucks, Forklift license essential.

Ensure accurate stock file maximising cycle counts and stock taking to ensure an accurate stock view all via scanners, computer, and paper.

Physical ability to Lift, carry and push trollies manually through the warehouse.

**Experience**

Qualified and experienced to implement workplace Health and safety standards,

Experienced Risk assessor, completing a standard of knowledge and experience in conducting workplace risk assessments and implement actions, adjustments, and training to ensure safe working environments.

Competent with using a digital warehouse management system using handheld terminals to pick products and control stock holdings via goods in and cycle counts (Current system Oracle, NetSuite)

Experience in working in a wholesale distribution sector and bring with your knowledge of best practices to improve the development of operations.

**Essentials skills**
- Full UK Driving License (essential)
- Counter balance Forklift license (RTIB) (essential)
- Health & Safety qualification IOSH level or similar
- Competent to risk assess to a high level
- Microsoft 365
- WMS Experience including some set up (nice to have)

- Having the ability to organise yourself, your time and stock.
