**Who We Are**

H. R. Goodale (Northern) Ltd are a privately owned Nationwide distribution company based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, established over 42 years.

We are currently seeking an **experienced** Transport Planner to join our team in our busy transport office.

The role will involve you working closely with the existing team ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the business operation whilst maintaining high levels of customer service.

This is a fast-paced role and requires an individual who is confident in managing people.

The role would suit a diplomatic, yet assertive leader who can build strong internal and external relationships with clients, colleagues and subcontractors.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Multi-drop route planning for collections and deliveries.
- Provide cover when required for all positions within the business.
- Routing trips and booking deliveries in with customers.
- Handling customer quote requests and resolving issues.
- Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls and liaising with customers, sub-contractors, depots and drivers
- Sourcing owner drivers, subcontractors and depots.
- Ensuring that the company maintains the highest level of presentation, integrity and customer service adding as much value as possible to all services offered.
- General transport office duties

**Experience Required**
- Multi drop Nationwide route planning.
- Experience using management information systems would be advantageous.
- Good geographical knowledge of the U.K.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in the transport industry is essential.
- Forklift truck license would be advantageous.
- Previous customer service experience is required.

**Hours**
- Monday to Friday 08.00am - 18.00

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
