**Regulatory Governance Executive**

**Location**: Hybrid - Remote with travel to RICS Birmingham office as and when required

**Salary**: £24,060 to £41,060 DOE

**Overview**

In March 2020, the Standards and Regulation Board (‘SRB’), was created to set the strategy for, and oversee delivery of, RICS’ regulatory, education and standards function. SRB is a quasi-autonomous board, and this role supports the creation and implementation of a global governance and policy model to support the SRB, the working groups and any boards or committees established by the SRB.

A key purpose of the role is to support the creation and implementation of consistent board agendas and forward agenda planning, to ensure co-ordination and legislative compliance and to support high performing board members’ behaviours.

This role is ideally suited to an individual who has notable relevant experience but who wants to take on new challenges, is comfortable working autonomously and with a range of stakeholders (including some of the most senior stakeholders such as Dame Janet Paraskeva, Sir Michael Burton, RICS Presidents, and leading members of the surveying and other professions) and who is driven to provide excellent proactive support and service.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Excellent administration of, and high-quality proactive support for, the Standards and Regulation Board (SRB) and any sub-groups/working parties established by the Standards and Regulation Board
- Managing the co-ordination of agenda planning, submission of high quality and accurate papers - ahead of time, forward planning and action trackers for the SRB and any sub-groups
- Ensure legislative compliance for the SRB and any sub-groups
- Prepare meeting minutes, agendas and other supporting documentation ahead of requisite time scales
- Supporting the recruitment and induction of individuals to the SRB and any sub-groups/working parties established by the SRB

**Experience and Skills Required**:

- Drafting and co-ordinating board level agendas, minutes, papers, forward plans and logistics to high quality **_(applicants should note that this is an essential requirement of the role)_**:

- Reviewing and updating board action trackers and forward planners working independently
- Co-ordinating meeting dates, and managing meeting logistics
- Co-ordinating and facilitating recruitment, appointment and induction exercises to boards and committees
- High standards of communication skills, both in oral and written presentations
- Preparing and updating web content relating to regulatory governance and policy
- Experience of governance models, ideally within a regulatory setting
- Working flexibly and under pressure, whilst maintaining high standards
- Willing to take on responsibility and work autonomously
- High standards of IT proficiency, including experienced in organising meetings with remote attendees
- Confident and professional in dealing with senior staff and Non-Executive Board members, across a range of communication media
- Excellent inter-personnel skills, with a confident team centric, positive approach.

- **a second interview with the Head of Regulatory Enforcement and Chair of the Standards and Regulation Board, and if successful,**:

- **a third interview with senior members of staff within the Profession directorate.**
