A Building Services Engineering Consultants in Manchester City Centre is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their existing team. You will be part of the next phase of planned recruitment within the Design team in Manchester to support the existingprojects and future business. These projects cover Retail, Mixed Use Developments and work on Ministry of Justice Sites across the UK.

In real terms, if you are a Mechanical Engineer who is looking to learn IES or do IES as part of your role,this will be supported and any training and development that is needed will be provided.

You will need discipline specific knowledge or a good understanding of the following:

- The role of other professionals in the design process
- Mechanical ventilation and air conditioning
- Heating and cooling services
- Domestic hot and cold water systems
- Foul, waste and rainwater drainage
- Control systems for mechanical and electrical plant
- Acoustic issue arising from mechanical and electrical plant
- Good understanding of sustainable and low carbon design
- Methods of construction and how these affect the design of services
- Good understanding of British Standards, Building Regulations, and sector standards

A good level or capability using Revit, Autocad and Hevacomp is essential. IES experience, LCC or LCEA accreditation would be preferred but is not essential. You will be given the opportunity to learn Building Physics and Magicad software with this businesstoo. You will work on New Build, Refurbishment and Modular Construction projects.
