Securities Services Operations (SSO) sits within the Corporate & Investment Bank's (CIB) Digital & Platform Services function. It provides operational support for all securities and derivatives processing, asset servicing, fund administration, settlement and collateral management, reconciliations and billing.

Within SSO, the CASS Governance & Oversight are responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of the governance frameworks that ensure that the CIB is able to comply with UK client asset rules set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The CASS Audit, Risk and Control team sits within this wider team focusing on UK client asset requirements (CASS).

The CASS Audit, Risk and Controls team focuses on the oversight and management of the annual CASS Statutory audit required by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the oversight of the CASS applicability process for all CIB business areas and the CASS Resolution Pack testing oversight and management. It also ensures the smooth running of the CASS governance frameworks contributing to compliance with relevant legislation and ensure the CIB's Client Asset Oversight Officer (CAOO) and relevant Senior Management Functions (SMFs) are able to deliver on their regulatory responsibilities. The team also provides support to other teams within the wider organisation, including in particular, the CASS Breaches and CASS Accountability and Governance teams.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in engagements with audit, compliance and regulators, including through the production of relevant documentation and adequate record keeping.
- Assist with the coordination of the annual CASS Statutory audit, working with business areas to ensure all information is provided within the required timeframes
- Assist with the CASS Resolution Pack testing on a bi-annual basis and ensure that this is conducted within required regulatory time frames and work with CASS Governance and Oversight Breaches team to ensure any potential CASS RP fails are recorded and assessed and remediated in Signavio
- Assist with the identification and evaluation of the CASS applicability for the CASS Resolution Pack testing templates.
- Work with the CASS Accountability and Governance teams to resolve any discrepancies identified as part of business area monthly attestation submissions. This will also involve validating on an ongoing basis the CASS applicability within CIB (e.g., reviewing changes in activities across CIB that have an impact on CASS compliance and reconciling them with the team's record of CASS applicability for CIB).
- Assist with identification and the evaluation of emerging CASS risks impacting the CASS Resolution Pack and work with CASS Special Projects, Training and Standards Regulatory Change team to ensure CASS RP Master documents are accurate.
- Assist with the maintenance of team operating procedures and controls, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and standards.
