- Eastleigh Borough Council is looking for a Head of Housing to complete the implementation of and lead the operation of the Council’s new Housing Management function.
- The Council underwent a Large-Scale Voluntary Transfer (LSVT) of its housing stock in 1996 but has recently started a comprehensive build programme that will result in significant private and affordable rented stock to be retained and managed internally. The Council has reopened its Housing Revenue Account and properties are coming on stream at pace.- This is an exciting opportunity for a housing specialist to set up a completely new service for the Council, to work across the organisation to embed the Council’s new role as a landlord, creating the reputation for the brand and offering the highest level of service to our residents. This role will also set up the new arrangements, manage internal teams and oversee external contracting arrangements.
- Housing is the Council’s top priority and has the political and operational support needed make this area a success. The Council has a new Corporate Plan setting the Council’s strategy agenda, with housing at the heart of it.
