Our well-established, global client has a permanent vacancy for a Control and Automation Engineer.

UK customers benefit from quicker delivery and customised product options where required because many products are finished or assembled by hand in the Milton Keynes facility.

**The Role**:
The role would involve communicating with the Japanese headquarters and assisting the European subsidiaries by: - Answering technical questions about products.
- Providing face to face training and creating user guides/videos

This role is based at their Technical Centre with occasional off-site visits. Approximately 65% of the work will be desk based with the remainder in the laboratory. There may be opportunities to visit the Japan offices along with lots of learning and developmentprospects.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Experience with Industrial Communication protocols including PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, OPC UA and IO-Link.
- Experience of configuring and programming PLCs using either Ladder or Structured Text.
- Experience with PLC engineering tools including TIA Portal, TwinCAT and Studio 5000.

**Desirable**:

- Electrical, Electronics, Software or Electromechanical Engineering degree at 2.1 level or higher.
- Experience of Industry 4.0 or IIoT technology.
- Experience of writing technical reports and product documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
