**Paralloy** has an exciting opportunity for an **QC Controller** to join our team based at our **Billingham**site, h**owever, flexibility will be required to travel to our other sites where business demand permits**. **About the **QC Controller** **role**:
As our **QC Controller, you will** ensure the complete and correct implementation of all quality control requirements within the Business Unit. You will also ensure that robust practices and procedures are implemented in the Business Units and that these are developed through continuous improvement. Working within the business unit to promote and ensure that a Quality-focused culture is effectively implemented driving improved performance and customer satisfaction in the day to day practices.

**Responsibilities of our **QC Controller** **will include**:

- Maintaining and developing all business unit quality documentation. Ensuring that quality system and contract requirements are communicated effectively within the business unit. Ensuring all necessary inspection & testing requirements and reporting are completed in a timely manner. Ensuring robust corrective actions are identified and implemented in response to customer complaints and internal non-conformances. Promoting the importance of improving our cost of quality performance throughout the business unit. Complying with internal quality control and external quality assurance procedures. Preparation of and participation in Department Quality Meetings.
**What we’re looking for in our **QC Controller**:

- Background in quality control, or inspection role, in a general foundry environment (metals / machining environment may be considered). Foundry Technology qualification would be advantageous. Experience and good understanding of foundry production and inspection testing processes and procedures. Experience of working within an ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 enviroments. Working Knowledge of realted ASTM & EN / ISO Standards for castings, ASME Codes and PED advantageous. Structured, disciplined and self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team or lead a team. Flexible, proactive and assertive approach in addition to strong organisational and prioritisation skills, whilst able to perform within tight deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Full working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
