**Full Job Description**:As part of our dynamic team, you will provide a high level of care and support to our service users by always ensuring quality Transportation and Care with a strong focus on dignity and safety. You will use your drive and enthusiasm, coupled with a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives, to ensure a first-class service for our Patients, their Families and their Care providers. You will provide a trusting, varied and stimulating experience for our Patients with sensitivity and energy, allowing them to gain access to the support they require from our colleagues in the NHS, Police and Private Care Facilities. This role requires positivity and a flexible mental aptitude to be able to deal with difficult and emotionally challenging situations and will require working with Children detained under Section 25 of the Childrens Act and Adults detained under the Mental Health Act.
- Standard Patient Transport Services
- Care and Transportation of Children looked after by the local authority under the Childrens Act
- Care and Transportation of Adults detained under the Mental Health Act
- Transporting patients between acute and private healthcare settings
- Supporting patients during appointments, including court appearances
- Supporting local authorities to take legally detained patients safely from home to hospital
- Carrying out Bed Watch duties in Hospital settings for vulnerable people
- Supporting Children detained under section 25 of the Childrens Act on site or in hospital settings and courts
- Carrying out routine care of ambulance equipment and daily vehicle checks
- Keeping accurate records of journeys
- Reporting of any incidents/safeguarding’s to a Team Leader
- Adhere to all policies and procedure training for your specific job role
**Working Pattern**
Shifts will be _On-Call _in a rotation of 4 Early Shifts, 4 Off, 4 Late Shifts and then 4 Off. You can be called any time between 6AM and 6PM (6PM and 6AM on lates) to work a shift that will be between 8 and 12 hours. You will be paid a minimum of 7.5 hours a day regardless of callout.
This is a dynamic job role that would suit anyone keen to help others and who are focussed on providing excellent patient care. You will also need to show the following:
- Good communicator, keen to listen and respond to patients needs as well as liaising with your crew member
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Honest with a high level of integrity
- To be able to use own initiative and solve problems but also be a strong team player

**Rate**
£12.50 per hour (£13.50 between 2100 and 0600)
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 37.5 per week
