We currently have a great opportunity to join the Health and Safety team at Simpsons Malt based at our Stracathro, Brechin office or our Gladsmuir, Tranent office.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key outcomes and deliverables:
- Business activities are enabled to take place in a safe manner with due regard for risk management.
- Continuous improvement of our Safety Culture, working towards a Generative Safety Culture.
- Monitor/audit Health and Safety processes and systems to enable compliance and effective use of the established systems.
- Continuous development and improvement of Health and Safety systems and procedures to support cultural change and achieve the Business General and Sustainability Goals.
- Support reduction in accident frequency and severity, with the ultimate goal of achieving Zero Harm to both people and the Environment.
- Initiatives delivered in a timely and effective manner.
Expected behaviours:
- Act as the assigned sites’ champion and source of expertise and competent advice for Health and Safety.
- Promote, develop and work towards a Risk Aware and positive Health and Safety Culture using a continuous improvement approach.
