You’ll be supporting individuals with mental health illnesses and mild learning difficulties to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives whilst integrating back into the community.
**You’ll **
- **Be Creative - **planning fun outings and establish new routines with the residents.
- **Be Engaging - **supporting residents to engage in the local community such as going shopping, attending events, grocery shopping and organising/attending medical appointments
- **Be Supportive** - providing emotional support to ensure the safety & wellbeing of the residents using our services by liaising with management and external professionals. Administering or supervising medication.
- **Share our values - be kind, patient, fun, open minded, empathetic and compassionate**- communicating well with residents using their chosen methods to support individuality. Prioritising the residents needs as well as completing your tasks on shifts. Monitoring & reporting any changes in health or circumstances of a resident to management.
- **Be Enthusiastic - **utilising the ongoing learning and training available so that you are able to progress within the company.
- **Be Organised -** completing all relevant documentation and organising the daily routine diary. Attending staff meetings every 3 months and individual support meetings every 6 weeks.

**You’ll need**
- Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma or above in Health & Social Care
- Good understanding of working with individuals with mental health diagnosis and mild learning disabilities
- Commitment to providing quality care and support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion and a positive attitude at all times
- A responsible, dedicated and flexible approach to work
- Competent IT knowledge and computer skills
Previous experience within social care is an advantage, however we will consider individuals with no previous experience as you’ll receive training on how to deliver high quality support.
