**MAINTENANCE & CLEANING OPERATIVE (Asset Care)**
Distinction Doors is the UK’s leading composite door supplier offering bespoke, premium doors with an extensive colour palette to create wonderful entrances to people’s homes.
We have an opportunity for an Asset Care Operative to join our Maintenance Team, working at our site in Tankersley on a full-time (37.5 hours).
**The Role**
Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager, the role will involve the upkeep and cleanliness of machines and other site equipment/plant to ensure all shifts run efficiently and effectively.
It’s a fundamental role that plays a critical part in ensuring our plant and facility operate smoothly. Our facility operates over a 24-hour period Monday to Friday. This role is key for ensuring all equipment is kept to the required cleanliness levels so it can be operated safely and smoothly.
The role will also involve assisting in the upkeep of the site when required. We believe the condition of the site is vital and this role will be a key part of the team looking after it.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all machines and equipment are cleaned appropriately, and free from all dust and debris.
- Complete daily checks and replenishment of the tooling cabinet (tooling, saw, blades etc).
- Extraction clean-down cycle to be run and extraction bags changed ahead of the morning shift.
- Change filters when required in the paint system.
- Assist with some basic machine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Be involved with the care of the assets on site.
- Site cleanliness and clearing when required.
Full training will be given for this role.
The role will be based on our day shift, working 08:00 - 16:00 daily. On occasion there may be a requirement to be flexible with these hours to support the needs of the business. Overtime opportunities may be available and would be paid at an enhanced rate.

**Education and Knowledge**
- Experience of working within a manufacturing facility (advantageous).
