Design Group UK is the UK’s largest designer and in-house manufacturer of Gift Wrap and Christmas Crackers. We also design, manufacture and source Gift Bags, Greetings Cards, Stationery, Creative Play, Specialised Gifting and Frames & Albums. We serve many of the best-known retailers throughout the UK and beyond.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small yet busy HR team as a HR Assistant/Apprentice. The role will include:

- Providing administration support for all HR matters to a high-quality standard and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining paperwork and all employee records on our in-house computer systems
- Producing basic letters and other HR related correspondence
- Providing first line response to all phone queries and provide basic advice where appropriate, in line with policies and procedures.
- Supporting people and managers with basic queries on policies and processes.
- Assisting with starters paperwork queries, checking paperwork to ensure that starters meet legal requirements and policy requirements and that all documentation is present and completed.
- Assisting with the recruitment process including placing adverts, producing recruitment timetables and CV Sifting
- Maintaining an awareness of HR best practice at all times.
- Providing and promoting HR services.
- Maintaining information in a confidential manner, following data protection regulations and ensuring the HR operational team and personnel files and recruitment records are GDPR compliant.
**KEY QUALITIES**:

- Good IT skills; ability to use Microsoft Office packages including word and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills, in order to manage work to meet conflicting deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management & organisational skills, has the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Friendly professional manner and appearance
- Driven and self-motivated
- Able to work within a team
- Able to prioritise and organise own workload
- Able to work on own initiative, sometimes working under pressure and to tight timescales.
**TRAINING**
- You will be mentored by a member of the HR team
- Support will be offered on site to fulfil the requirements of the Apprenticeship scheme

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £16,000.00-£17,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
**Experience**:

- Office: 1 year (required)
- Human Resources Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

- CIPD (preferred)
