Do you have a passion for great customer service and spending time outdoors? Don't want to be stuck in an office in a 9-5 role? V3 are looking for trainee water installers for a field-based role around Portsmouth and Southampton. Full training will be provided.
Trainee Water Meter Installers required - **Must have full driving license**
Van will be provided and a tablet and all equipment that is needed.
Portsmouth and Southampton Area.
Duties:
Engineers will be sent to approx. 15 jobs a day to complete. Each job should only take 15 minutes but sometimes you will encounter problems so may take longer.
Engineers will lift the manhole, and attach a bracket to the side of the wall 100mm from the manhole cover, they will then make sure the bracket is in line with the channel (over the running water) and is more than 300mm from the ground to the meter, once inplace they will need to put a magnet on the meter to reactive it. You will then need to let your partner know the depths from the bracket and depths from meter. Once it flashes green you can shut the manhole cover but need to test it after to ensure the connectionis working.
Engineers will need to take four photos, Serial number of the code on meter - Picture of install - picture of manhole cover down - Picture of area reference (This is so if you need to re attend you can find the manhole easy). These will need to be uploadedon a tablet and need to be sent to the planner to track the work.
If the man hole will not get any signal Engineers will need to go upstream until you can get connection. If this happens a form needs to be filled out.
£11.00 per hour
Hours of work - 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
