The HSLW will develop and maintain positive relationships between the home and school. A significant part of the HSLW’s role will be as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

St John's is part of the Bright Futures Learning Trust. The schools within the Trust work closely together to share good practice whilst keeping their own individual uniqueness. Training will be provided for example for the role of Safeguarding Lead or in the Compassionate Schools framework.

Regular supervision sessions are arranged for the HLSW and co-working with other pastoral leads in the trust is very much encouraged.
