Waterproofing Apprentice

We are seeking a trainee water-proofer to join our busy male and female Structural Waterproofing Teams. The positions are 18-month apprenticeships which result in a LEVEL 2 NVQ Diploma in Structural Waterproofing. Once qualified you will continue on-site training as a valued member of our team.

We pay our apprentices a full-time salary, because we expect them to be making a contribution to the team from day 1.

**Skills and attributes**

A positive, can-do attitude is essential. This job requires problem-solving on site and often dealing with or liaising with customers - domestic and professional.

A driving licence is also a requirement. Driving is a required skill: as an apprentice you may be moved about between sites, and being able to get yourself where you need to go, is part of the job.

Prior experience in the construction industry is useful - but not essential. Two of our previous apprentices came with no time in the industry and they have been great If you've got other skills you think will help - tell us about them.

**Life at APP Protect**

The role is Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 16:00. You will often finish early, rarely work late, and very occasionally work overtime. As a waterproofer you will work as part of a team installing membranes and other specialist building materials used in the process of constructing dry below-ground (and sometimes above-ground) structures. We will also teach you to install chemical DPCs and treat structural timbers for rot and insect damage.
