Front of House

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced front of house superstar to join our hard working team at the River Exe Cafe for the upcoming 2024 season. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who enjoy giving fantastic customer service and who have a passion for sustainable local food and fresh air. Experience in hospitality is essential due to the nature of the business. Our season runs from 1st April to 30th September. (Training dates late March to be confirmed)

**What is expected of you**
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
- Confident table service, making personal recommendations for food and beverage
- Willingness to learn all positions FOH between the bar, floor and food running
- Must be of legal age to work independently behind the bar serving alcoholic beverages
- A friendly smile and approachable attitude
- A team player is essential
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Provide a professional and welcoming service to guests
- Ensuring front of house and bar areas are kept clean and tidy
- Learning our dishes and having an awareness of allergens
- Communicating with the duty manager and head chef

The River Exe Cafe is surrounded by the beautiful waters and wildlife gifted to the Exe Estuary in Devon. It is located just off the Water ski lane with Starcross on one side and Exmouth on the other. As it is situated in the protected area and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the view from the office is one that cannot be beaten.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £8.60-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
