Leeds, United Kingdom Arden University Full time

About us Arden University is a growing organisation delivering online only and blended study options to students studying towards undergraduate degrees and master’s and MBA programmes.

We have study centres in numerous locations across the UK, as well as a centre in Berlin, and a head office based in Coventry.

**The Role**

This is a freelance Blended Learning onsite role.

Delivering at our Leeds Study Centre, you will be teaching Arden University blended learning students by utilising a range of innovative learning materials and resources.

Arden currently has opportunities in business management or allied discipline at level 6 and above within the UK HE-sector, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver a student-centred teaching approach.

You will also embrace action-based learning. Ideally you will have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one. In addition, you should hold an appropriate professional qualification and/or a master’s degree. As our teaching is done in person, experience of delivering lectures in a blended learning environment would be desirable.

You will have both teaching and learning plus marking and assessment responsibilities in this role. We have opportunities across the range of business sub-disciplines including leadership, strategy, operations, HRM, general management and marketing.

**About Arden University**

At Arden University our vision is to make education more accessible, engaging and beneficial to people everywhere. It is an exciting period for the University as we continue with our transformation and development programme, driving an industry-leading learner experience and further developing our innovative ‘compressed-blended’ full time degrees across 5 campus locations.

We are ambitious in our growth plans, and have just set out our 5 year strategy, which involves developing new courses, expanding into more countries across the globe and continuing to provide our students with a first-class education experience, accessible in a flexible and convenient way.

We are a values driven organisation, and in line with our values; Stand out, Progressive, Accessible, Resourceful and Kindness (SPARK), we want to make sure that each of our study centres is delivering an outstanding student experience that is completely aligned to our brand promise, whilst providing a tailored and personalised experience reflective of the local needs and culture of the student and staff profile.

We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our students, supporting them to realise their potential. We recognise that the pressures of people’s hectic, modern lives often mean our students are constrained - by location, cost, family/caring commitments or simply time.

By making our degrees, masters and MBA programmes available through both online distance learning and flexible on-campus ‘blended’ study, we have been able to support students ranging from 18 to 80 years old to achieve their ambitions and benefit from Higher Education. This is an exciting time to join a University that represents the future of Higher Education.

**Working pattern**

You will be required to deliver in person teaching 2 days per week, per module, from either 9am-1pm, or 1:30pm - 5:30pm or 5:30pm - 9:30pm dependant on the requirements. Please note, on both days worked, you will deliver teaching with students being on site. Full IT support/training is provided in-centres. Please note, this role is offered on a freelance basis.

As a suitable applicant you will be able to demonstrate you hold a British passport, settled status or a valid Biometric Residence Permit.
