As part of the second phase of recruitment for this facility, we are looking for a Baler Operator to join our team.

Levenseat, a leading recycling and resource management company, have recently opened the doors of their newly refurbished site in Falkirk. The site will process 200 000 tonnes of household waste per year, recovering resources to extend their lifecycle and returning them back into a circular economy ensuring nothing is wasted.

The Baler Operator will be responsible for the baler and wrapper machine operations including the set-up, and production in a waste processing environment.

Performing basic adjustments to the equipment as per requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment.

They will also be responsible for the basic housekeeping in the area and in ensuring the machine produces high quality bales within customer specification, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.

Main responsibilities of the Baler Operator include:

- Ensure the bale production operations are managed in line with Levenseat standards and Health and Safety legislation.
- Ensure all basic maintenance, cleaning & inspections are carried out and recorded as per Company and manufactures instructions and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company work practices as directed.
- Operate baler and wrapper units safely and competently.
- Undertake general housekeeping duties around their work area in accordance with Supervisors instructions.
- Report on production and assist in scheduling offtake of material.
- Maintain the highest cleanliness of all working areas.
- Ensure any defects affecting the safe working order of the baler/wrapper are reported immediately.
- Remain aware, at all times, of your responsibilities for your own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of your work colleagues. report all near misses.
- Carry out other tasks within your operational ability or for which you have received appropriate training, as and when required.

**Essential Skills**:
Full training will be given; however we are looking for a team player who has an awareness of health and safety in the workplace, who is able to communicate well and enjoys being part of a team.

**Desired Skills**:

- Knowledge of the waste/recycling industry
- Experience of RDF baling and wrapping
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- FLT licences/experience
- IOSH working safely.
