Visitors can take a tour of the gardens, deer park and cyder press, dine in the Garden Café and visit our farm shop. Attracting some 200,000 visitors per year, The Newt in Somerset is a vibrant and thriving attraction, animated throughout the seasons by special events, workshops and education programmes.

**Ecommerce at The Newt in Somerset**

Based in our warehouses at Avalon Farm, the Ecommerce operation** **is an online food delivery service, a new business developed to adapt The Newt Estate during the Covid-19 pandemic. Ecommerce has proven to be extremely popular and is now thriving, delivering locally to Bath and as far as London daily. Provenance is at the heart of what we do here at The Newt, and we pride ourselves on delivering our fresh, quality produce direct to our customers. Working in a business which strives for excellence and an eye for detail, Ecommerce works with the estate departments to develop new products, increasing our offering and showcasing the best of the estate.

**Our Delivery Drivers**
- We operate a growing fleet of refrigerated vans making daily deliveries throughout Somerset and London. Our drivers are a key part of the Ecommerce customer experience and we pride ourselves on prompt, friendly and helpful service. As our customers are shopping online you will be the face of the company every time you make a drop. You will be working across all our regular delivery slots and helping us to introduce new routes as we expand our offering to more customers across the South of England. As a member of the wider team you will also be happy to help prepare deliveries and are always willing to chip in around the warehouse when not on the road.**Key Responsibilities**
- Driving our fleet of refrigerated vans on Somerset and London routes
- Loading orders and preparing your route
- Delivering accurately against timeslots throughout the day Logging progress throughout the day and communicating with the logistics and customer services teams
- Communicating with customers as you drop orders and to ensure they are well received
- Ensuring vehicles are fuelled and prepared for the following day
- Helping at the warehouse as required

**Skills and Experience**
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Happy talking with customers on a daily basis - you have excellent communication skills
- You understand customer experience.
- You are responsive and proactive, addressing issues as soon as they arise and working with the team to resolve
- You are confident with route planning and scheduling
- You take pride in prompt and efficient service
- Previous experience of operational driving beneficial, but not essential
- You have a current license which you have held for a minimum of 5 years
