St Thomas More Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a passionate Head of Department to join their hardworking team of staff.

St Thomas More is a small popular Catholic 11 to 16 High School in the beautiful town of Buxton in Derbyshire; within easy access from Cheshire, Manchester, Staffordshire and Stockport as well as Derbyshire and surrounding areas.St Thomas More is first and foremost a Catholic School - in faith and in our all-embracing philosophy, based on the teaching and values of Jesus Christ. **You will be responsible for**:

- Teaching classes, including planning, recording, assessing and meeting the social and learning needs of individual pupils
- Maintaining the positive Catholic ethos and core values of the school
- Fulfilling the professional responsibilities of a teacher and meeting the expectations set out in the Teachers’ Standards
