**Pay rate: £12.00 per hour PAYE**

**Hours per week: 35-37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours**

**This opening assignment is for 2-3 months**

**City: SANDYFORD, Newcastle**

**Hybrid working**

Key responsibilities:

- Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of systems and processes to assist in providing timely and accurate management information to support key performance indicators.
- Ensure that all appropriate fees are paid/received in accordance with Financial Regulations.
- Undertake the annual review of fees and charges in line with Government and Council policy ensuring the current scale of fees and charges are publicised.
- Supervise and support applicants e.g. local search agents, to make personal searches.
- Provide advice and guidance to staff assigned to support the Local Land Charges Unit, including demonstrating duties as required.
- Review each Certificate of Local Land Charges Search and take any appropriate action prior to authorisation and issue of Certificate.
- Prepare appropriate documentation, correspondence and reports and deal with enquiries.

**Experience**:

- Current/previous experience in local land charges.
- Experience of maintaining the Local Land Charges register.
- A working knowledge of the Local Land Charges process.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Able to work both as part of a team and autonomously.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Able to work accurately under pressure and use own initiative to plan, manage and prioritise conflicting demands and workloads to ensure tasks are completed accurately, within prescribed timescales.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite) and Local Land Charges Systems.
