To coordinate and deliver a comprehensive work experience /placement programme to develop learner ownership as planners and managers of their career education to successfully achieve their personal aspirations and progress in their working lives.

To support learners to develop positive engagement with employers to support the attainment of knowledge, skills and behaviours required to help secure and access meaningful work placement opportunities.

To support learners and work with colleagues and employers to secure work experience opportunities for learners in accordance with their funded study programme.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Source, develop and secure appropriate and engaging work experience activities and external placements opportunities with employers which supports the preparation and development of work ready knowledge, skills and behaviours in line with the needs of the programme and curriculum area.

Support learners to develop skills in work readiness, preparation for and engagement in work experience/external placements through the delivery of timetabled employability sessions in line with curriculum/course schemes of learning.

Contribute to the creation of a robust work experience programme, building, maintaining and monitoring links with a range of external educational partners and relevant local, regional and national networks specifically in relation to work experience and placement, and wider careers guidance support.

Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are met in relation to the learner and work experience placement and conduct all health and safety/risk assessment procedures as required by the college and employer.

Work with colleagues to plan and deliver appropriate engaging work readiness and work experience activities for learners with employers, including guest speakers, sector visits, live projects and virtual work experiences to support the development of learners’ work ready knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Maintain records using agreed CRM and college systems and procedures relating to work experience/placement(s) and represent work experience department at curriculum meetings to ensure learner progress is effectively planned, recorded and reported and shared across all appropriate stakeholders.

Coordinate and support curriculum teams to sustain and build relationships with employers to provide relevant work experience/placement opportunities for learners.

Coordinate the safe learning and work environment of learners when undertaking work experience/placement ensuring compliance with quality assurance activities demonstrating all documentation and communication is accurate meeting the required employer standards and learner needs.

Contribute to a culture of innovation and improvement across the work experience and wider Careers Education Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) team, working with all departments to develop and share best practice within the College and wider NCG community.

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year
