They are looking for a reliable and dedicated **Procurement Assistant** to join the vibrant team at their Head Office in **Thriplow, near Cambridge**. The role is offered on a permanent basis. They are looking for somebody eager to grow and progress within the company.

The client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to join their team. The Procurement Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and optimising spend.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Approval of Group Purchase Orders (POs): Verify and approve POs to ensure the selection of the right suppliers in alignment with organisational requirements.

2. Supplier Sourcing: Conduct research and evaluate potential suppliers, organise meetings with them, and report findings to the Financial Controller for decision-making.

3. Spend Analysis: Monitor spending patterns and identify trends, providing insights and recommendations to the Financial Controller to optimize purchasing strategies.

4. PO Management: Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

5. Report Generation: Run reports on procurement activities and spending, analysing data and preparing presentations for review meetings with the Financial Controller.

6. Supplier Review Meetings: Coordinate and participate in regular review meetings with suppliers to evaluate performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.

7. Product Sourcing: Proactively source products needed by the team, negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices while maintaining quality standards.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £22,000.00 per year
