**Job description**:
As a Human Resources Advisor, you will work within the Air Operations Human Resources team as a Business Partner supporting the enabling functions within the Air sector. You will be responsible for providing a range of HR support to various functions and line managers requiring a depth of understanding of how to operationalise, integrate and deliver HR processes, projects and change in a business.
You will gain experience of leading large-scale people and organisation challenges and priorities. You will build new networks within the Human Resources function across the Human Resources operating model and build relationships within the Operations business and functions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Using understanding of the business and relationship management skills to influence, facilitate and implement change.
- Provide operational advice on a range of employment and performance issues and business change based on business needs, working in collaboration with the appropriate Centres of Expertise.
- Enable people manager capability uplift, facilitating/supporting/coaching the manager in execution of people initiatives where necessary.
- Investigate and resolve complex generalist queries requiring business knowledge and face to face handling.
- Review business related people data to identify potential implications within the business context and environment and initiate local actions to resolve these as appropriate.
- Enable functional strength and resource resilience via support to talent, strategic workforce planning and organisational effectiveness activity.
- Channel information to and from the Employee Service Centre and give guidance to the business on how and where to access appropriate support.
- Encourage People Managers to adopt self-service functionality.
**Job Requirements**:
- Significant experience in HR, preferably within the Defence & Security industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in managing employee relations and providing advice and guidance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of confidentiality and discretion.

**The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
