**Job Information**:
Individuals at this level have developed extensive experience in commercial management. They are able to work on their own initiative, or work as part of a team, under general levels of supervision. They will provide commercial direction to stakeholders across the company and take on a technical advisory role (e.g. reviewing commercial terms for proposals, assisting in pre-contract negotiations) ensuring standards are being adhered to. Alternatively, role holders may be tasked with delivery of commercial activity on a project from inception to completion. They will execute (and define, where they are managing others) commercial tasks in compliance with contract conditions and company procedures. Individuals will play an integral role in client and supplier management and in influencing decision making. Therefore, they require a solid grounding in the broad range of Doosan’s services, processes and technologies.

**Role & Responsibility**:

- **Execution**: Act in line with company-wide Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and commercial policies and procedures providing a full range of commercial services, to ensure that the company enters into compliant commercial arrangements. Collaborate with Legal and Finance colleagues to ensure that legal agreements, bonds and/or guarantees are in line with commercial policy.
- **Governance**: Establish and implement procedures for providing appropriate commercial solutions to stakeholders which result in optimum commercial value for the company and comply with national laws/regulations. Mitigate Commercial risk to aid the successful commercial outcome of activity.
- **Innovation**:Actively seek technical and innovative solutions to problems. Participate in, and be able to lead on, project reviews/lessons learnt in order to identify continuous improvement opportunities and modify work practices.
- **Communication**:Utilise an extensive internal and external (client) relationship network of key stakeholders (Engineering, Proposals, PMO, Procurement, Legal) to influence decision making in order to maximise commercial entitlement. Liaise with internal/external stakeholders, assisting in negotiations/dispute resolution to ensure that solutions are expedited.
- **People Development**: Take accountability for their own personal Professional Development Record as part of Doosan’s talent management ethos. Take a supervisory role with less experienced members of staff related to their area in order to develop technical and professional skills and of talent within the organisation.

**Job Requirement**:

- MSc, BSc or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or in a related commercial, technical or engineering discipline plus accredited post graduate training and registration of a recognised professional institution (e.g. RICS); or equivalent, significant and related professional experience.
- Experience in commercial contract negotiations and procedures and an in-depth knowledge of various forms of contract, including an understanding of contract law and UK construction laws.
- Extensive knowledge of Doosan’s operating context and wider industry (including general issues that prevail in the industry).
