Concrete Batcher

INTRODUCTION - CONCRETE BATCHING PLANT OPERATOR

Biker Group’s Concrete division specialises in the supply and delivery of high quality fresh ready-mix concrete across the North East and Yorkshire. We are currently looking for an experienced batching plant operator to operate and run our plant at Dalton Industrial Estate, Thirsk.

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 5:30AM - 4:30PM.
- Overtime (including Saturdays) as and when required.
- Excellent pay structure: £37,500 - £47,500 per annum dependant on experience.

DAY TO DAY:

- Accurate mixing of Readymix Concrete to ensure supply of mixes consistently within specification
- Ensuring batching plant is suitability maintained including planning of preventative maintenance actions
- Administrative activities relating to concrete batching and shipping
- Operating loading shovel/loadall
- Shipping and liaising with planners
- Record and store information in line with industry requirements and BSI accreditation
- Managing, Processing, receiving and checking raw materials and stock levels.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience in batching concrete.
- Previous experience of working in a concrete manufacturing environment
- Excellent Communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- To be able to work independently and as part of a team
- A competent loading shovel operator.
- The ability to build relationships with customers
- HGV Class 2 license an advantage.
