**The M Group Services Water Division i**s currently looking to recruit **a Head of Financial Control** responsible for the UK wide Water Division.

As the Head of Financial Control, you will be part of MWS Water Division Finance team who are responsible for **businesses finance activity across the Water Division.**

M Group Services delivers a range of essential infrastructure services within the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors in the UK & Ireland.

**As the Head of Financial Control your duties & responsibilities will be**:

- Take full responsibility for financial reporting and controls agenda, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
- The individual formulate periodical cash flow projections, business plans, capital forecasts, and long-term financial goals
- They further monitor the payments to creditors, banks, and financial institutions, ensuring the maintenance of the business’s integrity.
- The individual will ensure that generally accepted accounting standards are applied across the financial department and that they are adhered to in the preparation of all financial statements and reports. They will ensure that the business stays compliant in regard to all financial policy and regulations
- The individual will ensure that timely (monthly/quarterly) balance sheet reconciliations are undertaken across the whole of the water division.
- Be accountable to senior management for all financial reports related queries and judgements.
- The individual will manage the Audit process for all the water division entites
- The individual will manage all internal audit actions for the water division
- The individual will manage the end to end accounting for new acquisitions
- The individual will manage ongoing impairment reviews
- The individual will be the point person for an material accounting papers and judgements throughout the year
- Take responsibility for the financial IT integrity and controls
- Will manage all Tax matters inclusive of VAT returns

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Qualified Accountant.
- Keen understanding of financial controls and SOX.
- Some experience of IT general controls.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build relationships within a complex organisation.
