Lowe Academy is expanding and is on the lookout for drum tutors to grow and expand with the Lowe Academy team.
Established in 2017, Lowe Academy of Music & the Arts quickly embedded itself in the Sheffield teaching scene, rising to the forefront of musical education throughout the city and the surrounding areas. As Associate Partners with Sheffield Music Hub, it has grown from strength to strength and is now on the lookout for freelance tutors to join the existing team delivering outstanding tuition in both primary and secondary schools.
Whether you're an established tutor looking for extra students, looking for an extra few hours a week, or just at the beginning of your teaching journey, we would be interested in hearing from you
What we need from you;
Great communication skills with students & parents/guardians
A passion for inspiring young musicians
Experienced in your instrument
The ability to demonstrate skills in your instrument that are relevant to modern musicianship
Comfortable with technology
Organised, punctual, and good time management skills
Available for weekday teaching across 33 weeks of the Sheffield Academic Year

Payment for lessons taught each term.
On appointment, the applicant must;
Agree to an enhanced DBS check
Provide evidence of right to work in the UK
Undertake any/all relevant role training
Provide evidence of Personal Liability Insurance
Understand the procedure and file their own taxes
Be available to begin teaching in September '23
Selected applicants will be invited to interview and conduct a trial 20 minute lesson in Sheffield.
Teaching is on a 1-to-1 basis within schools during term times. There is also an option to expand into evening teaching and the opportunity to train in large group ensemble tuition delivery.

**Salary**: From £20.00 per hour
