**Position Summary**:
To carry out the correct handling and processing of customer’s goods in line with the Standard Operating Procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practice as part of a flexible and dedicated team.

**Duties**:

- To organise the unloading of customer’s goods vehicles either by hand onto pallets, or by forklift truck if already on pallets and stacking batches in the designated areas.
- To assist in the checking of deliveries, weighing and measuring cartons and completing check sheets.
- To label, pack cartons and place dosimeters into irradiation containers in accordance with product specific instructions.
- To load product onto conveyor in accordance with the production schedule.
- To ensure that the process is continuing correctly. Reporting any discrepancy, malfunction or unusual occurrence and taking any action necessary and within competence to either make minor adjustments or to stop the process.
- To remove dosimeters, unload conveyor and store customer goods appropriately.
- To complete the process batch records, both electronic and paper versions, at each stage and associated plant reports.
- To organise the loading of goods onto collecting vehicles by hand or forklift truck.
- To ensure that the correct goods and quantity are despatched and that the batch documentation is completed correctly. To ensure that the collecting driver completes the batch documentation appropriately.
- To provide adequate information at shift handover time, including the completion of the shift handover log and SQDC board details.
- To follow the laid down procedure for the starting up of the plant, closing the cell and raising of the source.
- To set security alarm if the plant is to be closed on completion of a shift.

- To take the initiative when the workload is low to organise alternative tasks.
- To take responsibility _during silent hours _for the security of the premises and property and for the safe custody of customers consignments.
- To contact the on-call Maintenance Technician in the event of a plant fault _during silent hours._
- To contact the duty Manager for advice or to inform him/her of any abnormal occurrence.
- To be aware of the need for security of the premises and customer goods at all times.
- To ensure that all tasks are performed with due regard of safety and environmental risks, maintaining equipment, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate.
- To carry out cleaning and tidying of the facility ensuring that a smart and hygienic image is presented at all times.
- To participate and support the implementing and maintaining of Lean and 5S+1 Standards.
- To participate in all company communication and initiatives including P.I.T. meetings, Health & Safety meetings, reporting of unsafe acts/conditions, perform TRACA audits, IDEaS, One Team One Goal and other staff meetings or briefings.
- To perform any reasonable additional tasks as required by Site Management.

**Education Degree**:
**Required Experience**:
Previous experience of working in a warehouse and the transportation of products in small to medium size operation.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Previous experience in Sterile Services and/or health related products.
- Knowledge of health-related products.
