We are seeking a SPLW to work as part of the Social Prescribing Team and reporting to the Chief Officer. This is a busy and vital role as SPLW will provide an essential referral route for people across Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Caddington and surrounding villages who are experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, financial, psychological and health related challenges.

Citizens Advice offers our partners across the Primary Care Network, a referral route that seeks to support people, their patients in an inclusive and holistic way.

The goal of social prescribing is to support the client to take control of their own health and wellbeing by identifying key outcomes and developing a plan of action to achieve those outcomes. This will often include dealing with social issues affecting them, i.e. benefit advice, debts and the other main enquiry areas that we deal with at Citizens Advice.

We can also offer support by linking in with social activities, community organisations and connecting with support that exists in the area where the client lives.

All local Citizens Advice produce their own annual report, but you can find out more about the Citizens Advice network or download the latest national Citizens Advice annual report.
