Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Our client is an expanding multinational manufacturing business with several UK sites and in excess of 40 globally. The business is looking due to an internal promotion to add to their Continuous Improvement team on site. This role is targeting an individual who has Ci experience within a manufacturing environment to join their Operational Excellence time onsite, and is ideal for someone keen to develop their experience within Continuous Improvement and build a career in this area.

If you have a background within manufacturing and are keen to work for a well resourced business, within an expanding team on some high level projects. Like any production facility they are targeting plant optimisation, waste management, productivity gains, cost savings as well as improvements across engineering, maintenance, supply chain and production and are hoping to find an individual keen to assist this.

The site already has a CI Specialist and a CI Lead who will be great knowledge bases for you to sit underneath and build your experience level. The site itself has solid investment, as well as already having in things like 5S, visual management and various other CI processes, so this role is designed to come in and take this a step further rather than a full scale rollout.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify and lead improvement projects across site
- Support site Energy reduction initiative
- Support Process Control roll-out and sustainment
- Drive 6S improvements across site
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and development of corrective/preventative actions
- Delivery of CI training (training will be given prior to this)
- Data collection and processing

Experience/Qualifications
- Manufacturing background preferred but not essential
- Lean or Six Sigma training or qualification highly desirable
- Experience leading a project/improvement teams
- Good IT skills working within a computerized environment MS Office is essential
