Seamstress - Seamster

Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.

**Position**:
This is a rare opportunity We are recruiting for a **Seamstress - Seamster **(Sewing Machinist) to look after all aspects of clothing production, repairs, servicing, upcycling (UK factory)

**Key responsibilities of Seamstress - Seamster (including but not limited to)**:

- Assist with manufacturing of Rab Expedition clothing styles
- Repair garments and equipment for Rab Service Centre
- Upcycling of older products and fabrics to create new items for charity, 2 Stitch, promotion and general resale
- To work with the Design Department sampling new products
- Working with Garment Technology to review quality control and construction of garments and equipment
- Assist Down Filling room with sewing and finishing off sleeping bag shells
- Reworking factory seconds
- Attending customer facing events and promoting Rab Service Centre
- Keeping the factory clean and tidy
- Stock checking fabrics and spare parts to ensure that we do not run out of key items
- To ensure that service standards are always exceptional

**Requirements**:
To join us as a **Seamstress - Seamster **(Sewing Machinist)** **you must have:
**Essential**
- Sound knowledge of various sewing techniques and the use of sewing machines required to perform them
- Able to work an industrial sewing machine to a high standard
- Pattern making and cutting out fabric
- High understanding of what makes a garment fit correctly and perform correctly
- Detail-oriented
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
- Able to work as part of a team
