THE ENGINEERING CONTROLS AND AUTOMATION SPECIALIST

Role and Responsibilities:

- To drive the performance of the site (OEE)
- To provide expertise to all areas of site and in new projects
- To support the standard of quality being produced across site
- Management of all maintenance on site
- To be responsible for the driving of improved performance in all areas using enhanced controls and latest automation
- To execute process and control improvements and prioritize all work in line with plant needs and production availability
- To complete regular backups of control systems and routine maintenance of systems. (recorded appropriately)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will need to have a background in the food or FMCG manufacturing industries. You will also have:

- Extensive experience of working in an automated FMCG environment
- Extensive experience of working with processing and packaging machinery
- Extensive experience in control systems (Siemens, E&H etc)
- Mechanical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
- Electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
- Detailed experience of carrying out reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
- Working knowledge of leading continuous improvement and SMED projects
- Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
