An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 3 Respiratory Administrator to join the Integrated Respiratory Service, based at Royal Blackburn Hospital, Chest Clinic.
The service is committed to training and developing staff within their role and any required training will be provided.
Please note that the salary advertised is for full time hours.

To provide administrative support to the Integrated Respiratory Service. The post holder will be required to provide a full range of administrative duties to all members of the unit. The post holder will be expected to work independently most of the time with no direct or constant supervision taking a pro-active approach to their work
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 3 Respiratory Administrator to join the Integrated Respiratory Service, based at Royal Blackburn Hospital, Chest Clinic, Respiratory Assessment Unit (RAU) and St Peters Centre Burnley.
1. To provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Integrated Respiratory Service. These duties will include being the first point of contact during office hours, diary management, arranging and servicing meetings, photocopying, filing, taking telephone messages and keeping fully conversant with the Team’s main computer packages.
2. To manage incoming post and messages. Direct to the appropriate member of the Unit.
3. To receive enquiries from patients, GPs, Consultants, other medical and non-medical professional staff and ensure effective communication, establish the nature of the enquiry taking personal action as required or pass to appropriate team member.
4. To ensure that adequate arrangements are in hand for dealing with communications relating to infectious and notifiable diseases.
5. To produce and keep updated procedure notes for all administrative tasks for which the postholder has responsibility.
To receive enquiries from the public or other professional bodies. To establish nature of the enquiry and raise patient record card / message sheet as appropriate and ensure correct follow up action is taken
