**KS1 Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Focus - Merton - Part Time**

An independent School is currently looking to recruit a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 1.

The school takes pride in offering a nurturing introduction to school life, especially during those early years when key social skills and attitudes towards learning are developed and acquired for life.

The principal aim of the School is to provide a broad and balanced curriculum in which all the children can thrive, developing a love of learning and reaching a high academic standard according to their individual potential. This is achieved within a stimulating, creative, happy, caring and respectful environment where the children are encouraged and motivated to try new challenges.

In your role as a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will have the perfect opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career within education

**Please note that this role is offered initially on a term’s fixed contract, and then the post will be reassessed according to the child’s progress and further needs.**

**KS1 Teaching Assistant**
- KS1 Teaching Assistant
- Working with a child on a 1:1 basis
- Supporting a child in Year 1
- Providing support with attention, focus, understanding and engagement
- Working with the child in class to ensure understanding of information and completion of tasks
- Ideally, you will hold a degree and have some experience of working with children previously
- Independent School - graded excellent
- Culture of growth mindset

- Stimulating, creative, happy, caring and respectful environment
- Part time role - mornings only
- Working hours 8.30am - 12.30pm
- £13 - £16 per hour (depending on experience)
- Fixed term contract - 1 term initially
- Located in Merton - access to onsite parking, by rail and bus
