**Purpose of the role**
The CELTA Tutor’s role is to assist the Main Course Tutor in successfully running any CELTA course and completing administrative duties which are required by the role.

The duties of the role are outlined below:
**CELTA delivery**
- Take on the ACT or TP tutor role as required in agreement with the MCT.
- Ensure that all CELTA courses meet the syllabus requirements as stipulated by Cambridge Assessment.
- Complete all administration in a timely fashion with attention to detail.
- Ensure that all trainees/students receive the necessary amount of time designated for tutorials.
- Oversee the general welfare of all trainees/students in your classes and refer any issues to the safeguarding officers in accordance with the safeguarding policy.
- Undertake pastoral duties as necessary and support trainees/students on an individual basis through their academic journey.
- Participate in quality control, standardisation and development programmes both with BSC and Cambridge.
- Attend all team meetings and CPD sessions as required.

**Education and experience required**
- Cambridge DELTA or industry equivalent (Level 7).
- Teacher Trainer status (approved CELTA course tutor registered on Cambridge Assessment database).
- Experience in EFL teaching in the UK or abroad, with a good understanding of current industry developments.
- Evidence of competently using learning technologies in the classroom and online.
- Evidence of continuous professional development and the willingness to learn new skills.

**Experience and knowledge desired**
- Experience of working on at least 3 intensive CELTA courses.
- Experience of being MCT.
