Primary School Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding career in the classroom? We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream Primary School in Southampton.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children aged 4-7 years in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1).
To excel in this role, you should have previous experience, training, qualifications, or knowledge in the field of childcare, education and health & social care.
Your punctuality and reliability are crucial as you will be working with young children who thrive on routine and consistency. This is a full-time position, so being available for the entirety of the school day is essential.
As a Teaching Assistant, your main responsibilities will include providing support to the classroom teacher, assisting with classroom management, and helping to create a positive learning environment.
You will be involved in planning and preparing activities, as well as delivering individual and small group interventions to support pupils' development. Your role will also involve providing feedback and assessment, as well as maintaining records and assisting with administrative tasks as required.
