Strategic Planning Analyst

We are recruiting for a Strategic Planning Analyst to work within the Planning Insights & Analytics Directorate at the University of Glasgow. This role, reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning, will sit at the heart of the University drawing upon a highlyanalytical skillset combined with strategic thinking to drive innovation and improvements across our planning and budgeting.

**What will you be doing?**
Serve as the strategic interface between the college and central planning team engaging proactively with colleges to provide highly valued and reliable support and analytical expertise.
Establish and maintain a credible business partnership model between PIA and the full College senior leadership team and use a specialist analytical skill set, combined with strong credentials in delivering strategy and planning to provide performanceanalysis across a range of areas - including competitor analysis, horizon scanning, planning dashboards, portfolio analysis, production of KPIs, student engagement and performance, cost and efficiency etc.
Work autonomously and possess the intellect and capability to bring new ideas and innovative ways of working to their areas. This will be essential to drive the change we want to implement through PIA’s vision and advise on the analysis and interpretationof data, identify trends and test solutions and report on progress to support the resolution of issues.
Develop a sound working knowledge of college operational activity, how this interacts with university’s strategic plan and the macro HE environment.
Establish and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the University’s academic provision and outputs to be able to accurately prioritise, inform and present integrated analysis and build relationships with key staff within the College and Schools inorder to understand ongoing developments, decisions and priorities as well as where further support is required.
Contribute to the formulation of policy to improve quality and effectiveness of service provision, considering, where relevant, legislative changes.

**What are we looking for?**
Experience of using data analysis and insight to inform decision making.
Experience of building credible relationships that deliver value including experience of working with and influencing senior management.
Framework level 9,10 or 11 or relevant other.
