Lancaster & Morecambe College are looking for a Pastoral Mentor to provide high quality pastoral support to learners at LMC. You will work in collaboration with learners, as well as a range of staff, parents, carers and external agencies to develop and implement pastoral improvement and support plans that enhance learner attendance, progress, achievement and wellbeing. You will act as a point of contact for students regarding wellbeing or pastoral matters, knowing when to access specialist support as appropriate.

Excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality and experience of working with young people are essential to the role. You should hold a Level 2 qualification in Safeguarding/Child Protection/Prevent training or be willing to achieve this within an agreed timeframe, as well as holding GCSE’s Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
