Nursery Cook

Small World Nursery (part of OE Early years education LTD) is looking for a dedicated nursery cook for our small home from home nursery. Small World Nursery is set in the heart of Leyland, and caters for a maximum of 30 children each day from 3 months - 5 years.

Our nursery cook will provide hot and cold nutritious food daily, catering for any special dietary needs, or allergies. They will help devise weekly menus, and oversee all day to day running of the kitchen.

**General duties are**:

- Cook the children's meals and prepare snacks daily
- Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy in line with health and safety regulations
- Complete all kitchen records/temperature checks daily
- Monitor stock control
- Be able to work unsupervised on your own initiative
- Mix well within the nursery and liaise with nursery staff

**Required**:

- Level 2 food hygiene certificate
- Allergen training (or be willing to complete)
- Complete an enhanced DBS check

**Hours**

Mon - Fri, part time (to be discussed)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 - 20 per week

**Salary**: £6.83-£9.50 per hour

- Monday to Friday
