**Job Purpose**

Responsible for a production line during a shift, ensuring that the production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with standards and legal requirements, meeting safety, quality, hygiene, cost and environment needs in a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation.

**Key Responsibilities**

Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with local laws, SHE and Quality standards by identifying risks associated to activities within zone and resolving reactive incidents. Strive for zero unsafe conditions and behaviours to achieve zero accidents.

In addition to operator duties, lead reactions to unplanned stops, complete LOTO audits, incident investigation.

Co-ordinate duties of the line team throughout the shift ensuring work is prioritised in accordance with production plans and operational requirements. Ensure compliance to end to end checks. Enable knowledgeable and smooth transition to the following shift.

Be aware of the production plan for each shift. Ensure resources are available to run the line. Check all aspects of the line before start up. Plan and manage change overs on the line. Ensure the line is ready for handover and all issues are communicated to the next line lead.

Ensure production targets & efficiencies are communicated to the team and met and exceeded where possible, in line with the targets set by the company.

Assist in root cause analysis work. Share information with the engineering team. Make decisions on how to resolve problems regarding unplanned stops. Complete maintenance and repair tasks to level of training.

Support and execute planned maintenance tasks to level of training.

Provide positive role model for PPE and GMP standards and ensure routines and standards are maintained across the team through coaching and challenging where required.

Ensure everyone wears correct PPE at all times. Challenge unsafe behaviour. Request help to resolve unsafe procedures or working environment. Encourage reporting of near misses.

Ensure that all quality checks are accurately completed by operators.

Develop employee capability through coaching team members and ensuring participation in continuous improvement projects and appropriate training.

Deputise for the LPM where requested to cover operational responsibilities.
