At Jewson we are looking for a Transport Allocator to work in our Sittingbourne team to continue to deliver our high level of customer service by planning and distributing the delivery our sales orders.

This **Transport Allocator **role will be a part of the transport team which consists of two other Transport Allocator working closely with the Transport Manager and our branch network. The team are responsible for arranging and allocating deliveries around our branch network, whilst the work is fast paced they are an extremely friendly and welcoming team with genuine opportunities for career development.

Jewson is the UK’s leading chain of builders merchants with over 400 branches UK wide. Jewson is part of part of the STARK Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.

The hours of work for this role will be Monday to Friday in our transport office and alternative Saturday morning which can be worked from home.

**What we’re looking for**:
For this role we want someone who is excellent communicator and remains calm under pressure. You will be the key person in ensuring we meet our delivery expectations.

**Essential**
- Must be IT literate
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Problem solving and decision making
- Strong regional geographic knowledge
- Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitudeDesirable
- Previous experience within a logistics/ transport role would be beneficial
